COLLEGE OF INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY
Republic
Act 4072, which was signed into law by then President Diosdado Macapagal on
June 6, 1934, provided for the establishment of the Vocational Technical
Department of the Eulogio "Amang" Rodriguez Vocational High School.
Dr. Hilario G. Nudas was the Vocational Director.
The Voc-Tech Department offered courses above secondary
level initially in the fields of Automotive Technology, Electrical
Technology and Machine Shop Practice Technology.
After forty years and several enacted laws, the
Vocational Technical Department is now called the College of Industrial
Technology which offers the courses of Bachelor of Science in Industrial
Technology and Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant management.
The Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology has the
following trade areas: Automotive Technology, Drafting Technology,
Electrical Technology, electronics Technology, Food Technology, Garments
Technology, Industrial Chemistry, Machine Shop Practice and Refrigeration &
Air-Conditioning Technology.
The CIT is housed in the EARIST Industrial Technology
Center located at Valencia Street.
Being one of the pioneering college in EARIST, the CIT is
committed to provide appropriate professional, technical and technological
instructions and training in Industrial Technology and Hotel and Restaurant
Management as mandated in its Mission, Goals and Objectives. |
